Our History

Founded in 2003, Heretic Films is a DVD/Digital/VOD distributor and content aggregator based in beautiful San Francisco, California. We seek to differentiate ourselves in a crowded home video market by seeking out and licensing the very best narratives and documentaries being produced. We're always on the lookout for films with a unique voice, strong production values, and original and interesting things to say - as well as, of course, films that are entertaining as hell!

Heretic began as a DVD focused distributor but we've adopted to changing times by being among the earliest video companies to embrace the shift in viewing habits to VOD and digital streams and downloads.
